Steve needed a break to relax, he says so we went on a drive.
When we left it was sunny and beautiful as winter days get.
When we got home it was windy and cloudy.


We drove around Fish Lake and over to Capital Reef. I have a new camera,so my pictures often turned out a little blurry. Still can't figure out why. It's Automatic.

it was fun and relaxing.

You Can See there is Ice Fishing goin on.

The red Mountains and white snow look beautiful against the blue sky.

It was really Beautiful day.

Simpson Springs May 2009

This is what is left of the original Pony Express. Someone tried to build a home with the actual rocks. Guess it didn't get completed








this is a replica of the old Pony Express Station



We went geo caching and everyone climbed above the cave to find the treasure, i stayed behind with chloe and watched the magpie sing; and of course take pictures.




We drove across to Fish Springs, checking out all the dirt roads along the way.

We took this one up to a Topaz mine, there were many people up there so we had to check it out. the road was steep and rocky, are REAL off the road adventure.
Tracy didnt like it and her and Kate walked down. the rest of us (me) just closed our eyes; they Guys really liked it.

Here we find another treasure, Kate and Ava really liked to look for treasure, Kate got a plastic snake in one and Ava got a car.

Here we are near our camp searching for geo caching.

We had a tri tip roast and potatoes and rolls cooked in the dutch oven. We are just watching it cook and relaxing after a crazy ride across the Pony Express.

We had to hike across the field to this treasure, Tons of ants. The kids really liked looking for ant hills.

We are still Geo Caching, Steven is learning to Read Rob's GPS

Ava, loved the rocks she always had her pockets full and her hands.

The other thing that Ava liked to do is wear the Cowboy hat that she got last year at the family Reunion. She put it on every one; even Chloe. and she liked it.

Kate liked to wear her's too. Kept the sun out of their eyes, even though they were too big.

Kate; she is having some applesauce. she had fun hiking, looking for treasures and searching for creatures, We found a snake on one of our Hikes, and lizards everywhere.

They catch a lizard and Kate is tickled pink to get to hold it.

When Kate let it go, she tried to catch it again and the tail came off in her hand. She screamed and ran to her dad. it really upset her.

Mothers Day 2009

We had a beautiful Mother's Day.

The sun was shinning and temperature was just perfect.

the Best was that so many of my grandchildren and their parents came.

I got flowers for my garden as well as a bouquet for my house. It was Awesome

the best was I got Pictures of many of the grandkids. and here they are.

How Fun is that!

Everyone pitched in and brought food and we were able to enjoy our patio and the lovely Weather..
